Dieudonne
Is there a way to easily see instances in Luke where the ESV or another translation translates Και as "But." Or search that displays how a translation renders a particular Greek word. Edited November 28, 2017 by Dieudonne
Mark Allison
There's more than one way to skin this cat, but this will do it: Enter the following in the Search Entry Box of the ESVS: [KEY kai] @but
Michael J. Bolesta
Open the ESVS and search for the word and. Go to the NT and find where and is translating kai. Right click on it and search by key number (which is G2532). You could also search by WORD, go to Search, select Enter Key Number, and scroll down to kai. Run the search. There are 7860 hits in 4771 verses. If you click on View Analytics, select Analytics. It will show you how kai is translated in the ESVS. Scroll down to but, and you see kai is translated but 77 times, But 36 times. Mark's approach is more elegant. Edited November 28, 2017 by Michael J.
