Add Amazon Pay to Accordance Web Store

As far as I know you guys do not aleady have this. Many websites include an option for Amazon Pay. You receive payments through Amazon's payment system. Why would this be a good option? I received a $100 Amazon gift card for Christmas and I would like to spend most of it on Accordance modules, but I can't. I can only spend it at Amazon. If you guys included an option for Amazon Pay, I could use it for Accorance modules.

I know you have gift cards, but a lot of people give Amazon gift cards since you can get such a wide variety of products at Amazon. Right now, my only way to buy Accordance modules is with that $100 gift card and that is not currenlty an option.

I imagine if you added an Amazon Pay payment option, many others would use Amazon gift cards for Accordance as well.

Thanks

Brett, I don't do anything with sales, so I can't give you the answer you want immediately. I do like your idea, however.

Having said that, if you wanted to use your Amazon gift card for Accordance, I believe you can purchase Visa or Mastercard gift cards with an Amazon gift card. And then you can use that for Accordance.

Cool. I'll look into that.

I checked on the Visa gift card via Amazon and there is a $4.95 fee. It will work, but you lose $5 on the deal.

So I still vote for Accordance accepting Amazon payments. :-)

Thanks

I guess if Accordance accept Amazon Payments, then they have to pay the $4.95.

Amazon Pay charges 2.9% plus $0.30. For a $50 order that comes to $1.75. A good bit less than the $4.95 for the Visa card.

It would be up to Accordance if they wanted to pass the fee along to the customer. I don't have a problem paying 3.5%. Ten percent gets a little steep.

Of course, if you bought a $100 Visa gift card and were charged $4.95, that would take it down to 5%. But I can't buy a $100 Visa gift card. For me personally, and selfishly :),Amazon Pay is the best option.

It would also give people the best option if they received a $25 gift card. They would end up paying 20% of their card for the $4.95 Visa fee. So they would end up with a $20 gift card rather than $25. If my calculation is correct, Amazon Pay would just be a $1.03 fee.

It was only a guess. But I can say I prefer to go to the next Christian Book Store than buy in Amazon.

That's kind of the point. Someone gave me an Amazon gift card. I want to spend it on Accordance modules. If Accordance used Amazon Pay as a payment option, I could use my Amazon gift card directly on Accordance. Otherwise, I will have to spend 10% of it on a fee to buy a Visa gift card to use for Accoradance.

Therefore, Amazon Pay lets me give my money to Accordance. :)

Thanks

I like the idea simply because my cards are already saved on Amazon, so it makes checking out faster. I also have a credit card that can reward me in amazon gift cards, which could potentially go to Accordance if that was an option. Granted I may as likely buy a book from Amazon.

Of course there might be a question of whether or not Amazon has any other terms or conditions beyond a portion of the purchase made. And whether or not accordance sells any items that would make this cost prohibitive.

Turns out the two main ideas in this thread will not work.

1. Amazon Pay does not allow the use of Amazon Gift Card balances. It will only use your credit card and bank account info stored on Amazon.

2. You cannot buy a Visa gift card using your Amazon gift card balance. I just tried and got the following message:
