Odd practices by others....

Another software company just released nearly simultaneous with a physical release which would be exciting except it's release was more than double the kindle price and over 30% higher than paperback price. Thinking this was a mistake I contacted support and was informed Baker had set the prices. I cannot understand how one can expect sales with such a bizarre pricing policy. This is just me but I wanted to say that I am not interested in electronic books at any price. Forgive me if this is considered inappropriate but I just wanted to say I hope this is not a tend in Bible Software and I am very happy that all in all Accordance has offered for the most part very fair prices and hope you can continue to do so in the future.

Dan, I think we have seen this strange behaviour by publishers before. We have had publishers major price hike on both wbc and the original Ebc. Both of which for works which had already been published. (Though over the years some prices have come down, thinking of tagged bibles particularly).

Not sure what goes through the minds of publishers, think also of oup. I am just glad the Accordance team are doing what they can for us with all the fab offers they manage to negotiate. I am fortunate in having what I consider are the ‘essentials’ in my Accordance library now, everything else is just ‘nice to have’ so can be very selective.

Well the book I saw in Olivetree looked intriguing and went to research it more only to find a release date of January 2nd, 2018 and noticed the dramatic price difference thinking it must be a mistake, that the Ebook price while maybe not reaching kindle book price surely wouldn't be set above a hard copy price but no it is.

PS: Just did a quick check and OT ebook is 10% higher than the book retail list price (just dawning on me that the amazon hard copy cost would be reduced from the retail list).
