Luke Bert
I am running 1.02 on an android galaxy s8. It seems like accordance is stuck on psalm 13. Sometimes it will refuse to navigate away from psalm 13. And then if I go into a different app and come back (not close out) it goes back to psalm 13. Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Luke, Just off the top I cannot repro. this. Could you provide a few more details ? How did you get to Psa 13, search or just scroll from the beginning ? What text are you using ? Is it in parallel with something else ? When you try to navigate away from Psa 13, how are you trying to do that, scrolling, entering a new search, using the grid or verse selector ? Thx D
Luke Bert
I am not sure how I first Got to Psalm 13. It was several days ago. I like using the 3 horizontal bars that bring up a grid or list of the books in a biblical text. So here are some examples. I open Accordance and it is set to ESVI Psalm 13. It is only Psalm 13 so I can't scroll to any other passage. I navigate by the three bars to Gen 1 and change the version to BHS -T then I click the parallel feature. The BHS is now at Psalm 13 and the parallel was at Eph 5. New situation I am now as 1 sam 1:1 in the BHS - T I change the version to ESVI and i am automatically at Ruth 1. It seems to me like there must be a memory of passages I have visited with a particular version and when I reopen that version later it automatically brings up that passage. The most persistent is Psalm 13:1-6.
Λύχνις Δαν
Ok, I cannot repro. exactly what you describe but there is something weird here. In order for Acc to open somewhere like psa 13, a search must have previously done for psa 13 and then you navigated away to another app and then come back. If I do that and then use the grid/list to select Gen 1 and hit Go the ESVi does not relocate to that location. If I choose something else like Deut. 1 then it does navigate. Now if I do the same setup. ESVi search for psa 13, switch to another app and come back, use grid/list to go to deut. 1, then I change text to HMT-W4, and then hit parallel, I get HMT-W4 at Psa. 13:1 and ESVi in parallel at 13:4. I don't have the BHS-T and I cannot repro. the 1Sam/Ruth case you describe with the HMT. Well actually maybe I can. The search done in the search box is remembered. It seems that using the grid/list is not remembered. So when you switch to a new text the content of the last search is reexecuted leading to a change of location, if you had previously used the grid/list to change location. I think this may only occur where both navigation techniques have been used. If you clear the search first then the grid/list selection will be the location where the new text opens. Scott M
Yes, if there is a verse reference search in the search box, what will happen is it will run that 'search' after a switch.
