Tip for Alfred users on Mac

If you happen to use Alfred on the Mac (I love it — been using it for many years — and can't imagine using my Mac without it), I've figured out a very simple but neat hack.

With Alfred, I hit Cmd-Spacebar and my Alfred entry box comes up.  Alfred can easily be used to open Accordance — but I wanted to be able to easily go directly to a specific verse or search for a specific word.

By creating two simple custom searches within Alfred as configured below, I can now type the following to do just that:

CMD-Space (opens Alfred), then "v Mat 1:1" << takes you to Accordance and opens it directly to Matthew 1:1 in your default Bible.

CMD-Space (opens Alfred), then "b Love" << takes you to Accordance and opens a search for the Love in your default Bible.

This can be configured all kinds of ways to search in different manners or in specific Bibles, but this pretty much met my needs.

You may be able to do something similar on Launchbar as well if it allows for custom search queries.
