Using <AND> with multiple constructs

I am trying to isolate verses containing two features. If I set up a construct for each, and then display the results in a text tab with the search "[Link Hebrew Construct] <AND> [Link Hebrew Construct 2]," I get odd results, with much highlighting beyond the features in question. In my case, for purposes of a student exercise, I wanted verses that contained a participle and an infinitive construct not preceded by ל-; I set up successful constructs for each of thEse conditions, but was unable to combine them using <AND>. I would appreciate guidance.

Wow! That's quite an exercise.

I tried two different combinations of two Hebrew construct searches, both simpler than yours, joined with an <AND> command.  In one case, the hits look as if they include either condition. In the other, it worked perfectly. I'm not sure what is going on, so I'm going to defer the question of joining two constructs to someone more qualified than I (like a programmer).

However, I don't think you need two constructs for this search. I'd recommend searching for a participle <AND> a Hebrew construct, which specifies your infinitive construct not preceded by a ל. I did that in the example below. See if it meets your conditions.
