problem with [link]

I have a workspace for Hebrew study saved under my favourite workspaces. It is set up with an OT text and several commentaries.

I also have another general purpose workspace with two English texts and one commentary.

What I want to be able to do is to look up a passage in my English workspace and then, if I find I want to go deeper, link that workspace to my Hebrew study workspace.

However, I have discovered that I cannot set the link in the Hebrew workspace because the English workspace it set to search for verses. I can get the link to work if the English workspace is set to search for words, but that's not what started off by doing. If I change it and search for, e.g. Ps 37, I get the following error message: "The search criterion in the window… cannot be used, since it expects a verse reference entry." I've discovered that the search criteria in both workspaces has to be set to search for words for this to work. But I want to be able to get it to work for searching by verses.

What I want to be able to do is have a general study workspace for basic inquiries in English, and to be able to link back to that when I want to go into greater depth in a Greek or Hebrew favourite workspace.

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks!

You are correct that the [LINK] command will not work if you switch one of the windows between words and verses searching. I wonder whether you would not find amplifying to the favourite workspace a better solution. Instead of a permanent link (which reproduces the argument exactly) just select a word or phrase and amplify to your favorite, and it will search all the tabs in the workspace as appropriate for that selection. You could keep the link for passage searching.
