Annoying Pop-Up After a Shut-Down or Crash

Hello

Since my Update to MacOS 10.13.4 my Mac shut-down instead of just go to sleep.

Anyway thats another problem. But the Pop-Up post-32723-0-06805800-1522520114_thumb.png is very annoying by a restart. Accordance is the only one app which has this. All other opens on the last session.

I know I can choose post-32723-0-61072400-1522520261_thumb.png, but that is if quit Accordance then it should open in the preferred setting. But if it crashed then it should open on the last session without the annoying pop-up.

Thanks for your attention.

Greetings

Fabian

Maybe some consider this as a feature request instead of a bug. But for me this is definitely a bug.

I respectfully disagree Fabian. Given that corrupt workspaces can cause program crashes if it always opened to the last session then yesterday u may get stuck in an endless loop situation. I have been saved more than once by this pop up. I would prefer it says. Just imho.

Good point. I haven't thought about corrupt workspaces. Mine works all fine. I only thought about Accordance crash behavior. Accordance was over 2-3 years the most crashy software I have ever used on the Mac. But now it is much more stable. Maybe a better shut down process would be fine. So that it doesn't crash only a normal shut down.

Would it be possible to add Kens point of the pop-up to relocating in the "Safe Mode" post-32723-0-64852900-1522662608_thumb.png? So if Accordance in an endless loop just press the [alt] button would be fine. If this is possible to break the endless loop?

Then both are most possible happy? What do you mean Ken? Would you be happy with this solution?

Then also It would be good if Accordance save the last session also by shut down like all other software. I didn't wrote this sentence before, because I was aware that sometimes it would be good to have the option which Ken wants.

Or simply a better shut down process would be fine. So that it doesn't crash. Only a normal shut down. And the pop-up don't have to come up then after a restart.

Greetings

How are you shutting down? Sounds like a problem with your Mac that it’s not able to sleep, or is just forcing apps to close. On mine, I’m able to shut down, see Accordance carefully quit, and then reopen without issue next launch.

Fabian, when this pops up, do you hit "Cancel" or "Recover"?

In my experience, you only want to hit "Recover" if you think your workspace caused a crash.

Hello Joel

Strange the bug with the shut-down since I updated to 10.13.4 is gone now. My Mac behaves like before.

Also Accordance don't crash anymore. Whenever I use the restart option in the Mac Menu or shut down with the power button.

I can remember the pop-up was earlier an annoying thing which I had too much.

As for now, I keep an eye on it. And I post if some changes come back.

Thanks

Hello Silas

I depended on what I had done before. If I only read the Bible then I pressed "Cancel" and started again. If it was more complex I used sometimes the "Recover" button, but not always.
