Spell Check

Spell check seems ubiquitous today. It would make an excellent program even stronger if Accordance had it for things like User Notes. In a perfect world, it would be the sort of spellchecker that allows the user to teach it words, but any form of spellcheck would be great.

Thanks!

If it were added it would be good to have it with OL support.

Thx

On the Mac, Spell Check is already available for the User Notes, User Tools, and Papers.  See the Selection -> Spelling menu.  Also, if you right-click on a misspelled or unsure word, it will offer suggestions.

Joel, thank you. I found it under the Search menu, however, not the Selection menu. Anyway, I'm glad to know it is there!

I know the options for spell check are there. But given the iOS versions of the app red underline and auto-correct, it would be nice if the Mac version did spell check or auto correct as you type. To state the obvious, this really should be a given in 2018. It's real frustrating that this is the expected behavior in iOS but the more feature rich Mac app does not incorporate technology that has been implemented for the better part of 10 years. I know y'all have more important things to work on, but these small features used on a regular basis make the experience much smoother and more enjoyable. Excluding these now basic features when most every other writing app uses them is really frustrating.

As long as it is off by default or can be disabled.

Agreed - nothing more annoying than spelling checkers that get it wrong, I'm afraid. Like auto-correct - also annoying.

Why is spellcheck grayed out?  I am using Windows, but it has it in the search menu and a shortcut of Ctrl +: .   I can't seem to get it to work.

Is this available in Spanish in the Windows 10 OS?
