A better layout for stack items? Too much vertical space currently needed and wasted

Just looking at stacks it seems like the vertical space needed for each stack item is a little too much, and can lead to being able to view less items at a time. I think it could use some improvement.

 

I've attached an example that at least to me would make more sense. This would give the user 20-25% more vertical space for stacks without sacrificing organization and would put the less used icons (deleting, copying, favorite) off to the side, while overall looking more clean IMO.

 

Just a thought!

I agree that vertical space is at a premium, so anything that economizes it without sacrificing readability and functionality is helpful.

Also, there seems to be way too much blank space at the bottom of an added User Items between the text and the date/time added, whereas other items have what seems to be a normal amount. Why is this?
