Susan
I would like to search for only prefixed/attached/inseparable forms of the preposition מן (i.e. -מ), to the exclusion of the independent/maqqef-connected instances. Is there a way to do this? Edited April 20, 2018 by Susan
Timothy Jenney
I'm at the very edge of what I recall of my Hebrew grammar here (so be kind), but have some thoughts. First, switch to a letters search. This search string will get you close: ־. <FOLLOWED BY> <NOT> (=מִן, =מִן־0) However, sometimes (e.g. Gen 2:7; 3:17) it appears the maqqef has been tagged as part of the word מִן I then tried a search that specifies an inflected form of the lexeme. It did eliminate the maqqef, though I'm not sure it captured everything else you want: ־. <FOLLOWED BY> <NOT> "מן@ "מ
Λύχνις Δαν
I tried this : ֲמן @-.־ as a word search which seems good but unfortunately all qere are included in the results. I don't know why that is because they do not match the search - there is no מנ in the qere - at least not in the cases I checked. Seems that could be a bug. Thx D
