Martin Z
The formats in the Editing Window is not reflected in the User Note view mode. For instance, the bold and italics are not reflected. I tried importing HTML to User Note, but the format also breaks down. The headings are not recognized. It would be great if this problem can be solved. This method keeps the italics and bold fonts. Also, it automatically links scripture references. The HTML is created from a RFT file. I have First Level Headings and Second Level Headings. I hope the First Level Headings be converted as "Titles" in the UserNote, and Second Level Headings as "First Level Subheadings" in the UserNote. I don't know whether it is possible for Accordance to recognize that. But the screenshot shown below is messed up randomly. I have no idea. Oops...just noticed that I constantly mixed User Notes with User Tools. Looks like I can't edit the title of my initial post. Everything I talked about here is about User Tools, not User Notes. Martin Z
I see also some of the first letters from the titles in the browser seems to be cut out. Greetings Fabian Yes. I expected to see something like below: This is screenshot is from the Edit Window. I manually assigned titles and headings. So it looks great. But if I import from HTML, the titles and headings all are messed up. To clarity, the HTML is exported from Nisus Writer Pro. In NWP, I made "Heading 1" and "Heading 2". I expected them to be "Title" and "Heading 1" when I import the HTML file into Accordance. I'd be glad to send my files if anyone else wants to test out. Jerome's Commentary is on public domain. So it should be ok to distribute. Here is the source: http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/jerome_daniel_02_text.htm
showens
I'd be glad to send my files if anyone else wants to test out. I would like to see what you have tried as markup. You could either attach them here, or email directly to showens at yahoo dot com.

Hello Showens, I can't upload RTF files as attachment here. I've sent it via email. Thanks! Martin

Martin Z
I was able to use NWP to add some html codings to the file. But I'm stuck with color coding. Accordance Help does not give color coding format. The ones I tried work at Wordpress, but when I use that in NWP to export to HTML, it messes up. I tried: <font color=“red”> dsafasdfsdf </font> And <span style=“color: red;”> adfasdfadsf </span> Edited May 3, 2018 by martinacc
Martin Z
I've tried quite a few ways on the color coding. Looks like the most reasonable conclusion is either Accordance does not support color encoding, or it is different from what I found online. I need Accordance Technician's help~ Blessings, Martin
Alistair
The request/demand for improved user tools/notes etc is a perennial favourite on these forums. Perhaps we can hope that it will finally be taken seriously (by which I mean we get what we want) and implemented in the next major version. When you look at all the simple or basic word processing apps and markdown apps available (for Mac at least) it would seem that it cannot be that difficult. Here's hoping… Edited May 4, 2018 by Alistair
