Cannot select multiple tags in Hebrew Construct Searches

The windows for the verb tag says to use shift-click to select multiple tags, but when I try to select both qal and piel by holding the shift key and clicking, the selection window closes after the first click and I cannot select a second choice.

Hi Mike,

This works ok for me on Mac and Windows. What version are you using ?

The way you do it is select one, and it goes in the list to the right when you select the next one. You open the pull down list for each selection. It doesn't stay open while you choose them all.

thx

Let me make the steps clearer. The tags work the same, whether they are for a construct search or a regular search.

1. Select a tag in the dialog box, for example "feminine." The menu closes and Accordance displays "feminine" in the dialog box.

2. Press the Shift key. While holding the Shift key down, select a different tag from the same menu, say "masculine." The menu closes. Accordance now displays two tags, one in the dialog box ("masculine") and another beside it ("feminine").

Do these step-by-step instructions work for you?

That works; however, it might be worth changing it to follow industry standards. Normally when multiple selections can be made the window doesn't close when the shift key is held and each selected item is highlighted as you click. This is how multiple selections are handled in most windows programs.

FYI - Understanding the way shift-click works in most programs leads one to release the shift key after the window closes; when you do this, you end up starting all over. With out a better explanation (or a change to follow industry standards) this results in a lot of confusion.
