Hypertext Links

In playing with the new Android version (1.1) I discovered that in the preferences for "tool display" one could choose the color and style of a hyperlink. I chose to keep my hyperlink blue (default) but wanted to remove the underline. I chose that in my MBA, ipad and Amazon fire. Although I was able to select it when I entered a text reference it always comes up underlined even though I chose not to have it underlined. Am I missing something?

Hey Bob,

I may not be following you 100% but Text references have their own "Reference style" setting in the Text Display Settings. It sounds like this is still set to underline.

Thx

Thanks for the response. I double checked my settings and while I did not see a specific setting for that in "text display", I did confirm that on my ipad and on my MBA it is not selected! I am using High Sierra with 12.2.6b1 (but I also tried it in 12.2.5) and my ipad is using 2.7. I may be trying to do what the program is NOT supposed to do. I just wanted to have my text hyperlinks when included in a note to NOT be underlined.

Sorry Bob, I'm now a little more confused. You are having this problem with Accordance on Android correct ? At present there are no notes (User Notes) on Android. Can you give a step by step example of what you are doing, what device, what text or tool, what search and where these links are not showing up the way you want ?

Thx

When I enter a note (matters not if it is on my MBA, iPad, or Kindle Fire) and if in the process of making a personal note, sometimes I will enter a Scripture reference. On my MBA if I enter a Scripture reference I have to click on the “auto link” icon. If it is on my iPad there is no need to do that (not sure yet how that works on my Kindle Fire). In any case it turns the Scripture reference into a link. The link is blue (default) and is underlined. I was simply trying to eliminate the underling of the Scripture reference in my personal note. Sorry that I seem to be confusing this!

Ah ok, so this is not a problem on Android. I misunderstood your initial post. Android does not have any note taking capabilities yet. I now see what you mean in the User Note. The actual reference for the note is styled by the display pref, but any references you put in the text of the note itself are simply blue underlined and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that. Someone with more knowledge of notes behaviour will have to comment further I'm afraid.

By contrast User Tools have a Hypertext configuration which will style scripture links.

Thx
