Forum mobile vs full theme

Hi ya,

 

  I've noticed recently that I am not able to choose the mobile theme on my phone and use the full one on my desktop. Nor vice versa. I can switch to whichever one I want on either device but it's not remembered as specific to a device. I don't know if this is by design or a limitation of how it's stored. I would have expected such a setting to be browser specific and thus to be stored in a cookie but it would appear it's stored in the settings or something.

 

  Anyone know, what's going on and if this is a bug or something I've messed up somewhere.

That's very odd, Daniel - I'm able to be logged in on both, but my mobile retains mobile, and my desktop retains desktop.  Perhaps try relogging in each device?

Ok, I tried that but it made no difference. What seems to have helped is that once I logged in on the desktop and set the theme to desktop I cleared the browser private data on my phone browser and re-logged in. That got the mobile theme by default and things look more like they use to.

 

What I suspect is that if you use the Change Theme link at the bottom of the page as I had done, it causes something to be stored somewhere which then ends up in a cookie. I'll have to play more with it. Occasionally it's useful to use the full version editor on my phone to post so that's why I changed the theme and that's when I noticed this.
