Moments ago when I synched my Mac Accordance with iOS, I got a message stating that "My Highlights" could not be opened because it requires a higher version of Accordance.  Sure enough, lots of marvelous highlights were gone on both the Mac and iPhone.  (Tears)  I restored "My Highlights.hlt" from last Saturday via Time Machine.  That has restored the highlights on the Mac Accordance.

The majority of the previous highlights that showed up on iOS no longer show up.  How can I at least restore those that did show up?

Versions:  Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.5;  Accordance 11.2.4      iOS 11.4; Accordance Version 2.7.0 Build 2.6.9.9982 June 2018

Dropbox keeps versions of files - not sure how long it is for but I think about 30 days. However if I were you I would contact Accordance Support as there might be an underlying issue that needs to be resolved.

Yep syncing between iOS/Desktop seems to be problematic. I have been trying on and off for months now to get my notes to sync/merge, but they always just disappear.  My highlights have also disappeared, but I am not sure when exactly, I just realised one day "wait, shouldn't there be highlights in this chapter". :(

My top 5 feature requests:
  1. 15pt font size for reading text (bible, journal articles, commentaries, etc...)
  2. Improved searching for Journal articles. (So we can search for journal article by verse + english text)
  3. Display Journal titles in journal search results. (Imagine a google search where you saw the page text but no headings?)
  4. Improved greek text search—i.e. allow searching of all greek text the same way you would search LXX+NT, i.e. LXX+NT+ApocFathers+etc...
  5. Phrase (sympathetic) highlighting.

I must admit that I have a number of highlight files but only two of them do I update on iOS and wouldn't be too worried if I lost some of the highlights. The rest I only update in on the Mac and then sync to iOS. Perhaps that's just me being ultra-careful.

I hadn't looked at it from this perspective. Having the notes or highlights in two separate files feels messy to me, so perhaps it is my desire to get everything into one single file that causes me to fall afoul of whatever bug causes things to go missing.

My highlights files are definitely for separate things so to me it doesn't make sense to have them in the same highlights file. The mobile highlights file I use as a kind of working file where I highlight where I am in various texts or tools. Then one for just underlining passages in texts and tools. Other ones I have purely as Mac highlights - so one for key themes and one for inductive bible study highlights etc.
