ct253
Two things to report on the Info Pane. (Mac, most recent version of Accordance) 1) When I try to adjust the number of commentaries visible (Set Info Pane Display > Initial Commentaries), it is not having any affect on how many commentaries show up in my Info Pane. 2) And I'm not sure whether or not this is a bug. When I adjust the theme for the info pane (say to a serif font), it only adjusts the font for a few things (basically the blue hyperlinks). The headings, as well as content for My Toolset, Commentaries, labels in Parallel Passages, and words in Word List are all still the original (Helvetica Neue?) font. This leads to an odd and unpleasant look in the Info Pane with two different fonts being mixed together. Thank you. Colin
Steve King
1) When I try to adjust the number of commentaries visible (Set Info Pane Display > Initial Commentaries), it is not having any affect on how many commentaries show up in my Info Pane. I am able to change the number of commentaries that are displayed initially. Have you set it as the default? Also, just in case this could be the problem, I believe it only affects new workspaces so if you are using an existing workspace you will need to open and close the info pane for it to update to the new initial figure. (although I am happy to be corrected on that).
ct253
I just double checked, and set it as default. I'm still getting 5 commentaries (all of them) in the info pane.
Silas Marrs
Three questions: 1. Have you tried closing and reopening the info pane? 2. If closing and reopening the info pane does not set the number of commentaries to whatever default you've set, does a little "+" button appear below your list of commentaries? 3. If a little "+" does not appear below your list of commentaries, are you certain that you have more than five commentaries that have sections relevant to the specific verse you are viewing? ct253
1. Yes. It didn't do anything. 2. Yes. There is a + button in the passage I'm looking at. However, when I clicked it, it simply disappeared and no additional commentaries appeared. 3. It looks like I have 6 commentaries total. That being said, I would still like it to show only 2 initially so that I can see the rest of the other data in the info pane.
Silas Marrs
The info pane chooses which commentaries to display based on whether there is a relevant entry in the given commentary for the verse you are at. Notice at the top it says "Info for ..." with a verse. It sounds like one of your commentaries doesn't have a relevant passage for the verse your info pane is looking up info for, so it's only displaying five. But if that's not the case, let me know, because then it would be a bug
ct253
Sorry. I am not being particularly articulate. It is displaying 5, but I only want it to show 2 by default.
Silas Marrs
Ok, I see what you are saying. Yeah, that's probably a bug. I will look into it.
