Clever suggestion for new features

Recommended Posts

1. Popover function for "table of contents" in tools.

2. When using instant details as "click and hold" highlight the reference/vers when looking up Greek/Hebrew in a dictionary (as when you triple click), so it's easier to find the vers you are looking up in the dictionary.

3. When using the concordance analytic tool, be able to choose whether show concordance in relation to whole scripture (as is already) and just within a particular book. Ex.: When searching for * [range Rom] being able to only look how the words is used within Rom (not the entire Bible).

4. When using the analysis in the analytic tool and having adjusted the display tool to "prtSpeech", being able to sort (in the main analytic tool window) by word group. So the word list is grouped by verbs, nouns, prepositions etc. This is useful because very often the same words like articles and pronouns really distort the overview.

Okay, let me suggest two ambitious features:

Greek and Hebrew parsing trainer!

Greek/Hebrew Flashcards!

Greek /hebrew flash cards

Not sure if this fits what you are after but have you seen this podcast?

There are a few other original language ones and i seem to remember something like that. (Dr j may chip in if he thinks there is something better) but you may want to check out these.

Thom, thanks for the feedback!

I think two of your requests are already possible:

3. When using the concordance analytic tool, be able to choose whether show concordance in relation to whole scripture (as is already) and just within a particular book. Ex.: When searching for * [range Rom] being able to only look how the words is used within Rom (not the entire Bible).

If you do the search with a Search Range (Hit the Plus on the right side of the Entry box), rather than just the [RANGE] command, then choosing the gear menu in the top corner of the Concordance lets you filter by "Search Range Only".  Even though the Range condition and the RANGE command seem similar, there are some differences, such as this one.

If you place PrtSpeech at the top level of your Ctrl+T dialog, then they will be sorted by that Part of Speech first, before listing the lexical or inflected forms.
