Drew_A
Just curious for ideas how to search for words that have an article. Having trouble especially with Hebrew... Yet this isn't a Hebrew specific question, I would just like to see ideas how to search for Article + Word together. Tried several things with <AND> <WITHIN> and <PRECEDED BY> as well as construct searches and I'm simply not getting very far. For instance, say I want to look up all the instances of הַר that include an article like הָהָ֣ר or even those with a preposition like בָּהָ֔ר Thanks, Drew
David Lang
Drew, In Hebrew, an article prefixed to another word is a two-word phrase, so just put a space between the two elements. To enter the article, choose PARTICLE from the Enter Tag submenu of the Search menu, then choose article from the class pop-up menu. Then just type the word or part of speech you want the article prefixed to. Your search should look something like this (reading right to left): הַר= [PARTICLE article]. You could also do a search like this (reading right to left): [NOUN] [PARTICLE article] Hope this helps.
