TheBard
Hi All, I'm trying to find the total number of words in an English translation and I was hoping Accordance could help. Is there a way to do this in Accordance? I've tried to find a website online that has this information, but it's been difficult to find anything trustworthy. I'm surprised it's so difficult, or maybe my Googling skills are off on this one. As an aside question, is there a way to count words within a certain range? For example, I want to count the number of words in the NRSV, but the translation I have has the Apocrypha and I'd like to exclude this in the count. Also, I'd like to do the same with the Greek and Hebrew as well. Thanks!
Mark Allison
Just search using an asterisk ( * ) to find every word. You'll see the hit count beside the Analytics button. To exclude the apocryphal books in a translation, just create a range as in the example below: * [RANGE Gen-Mal; Matt-Rev] Edited August 9, 2018 by Mark Allison
Dan Langston old account
You could also open up a new tab with any tagged Bible and you'll see the number of words next to the verse chooser, if Gen 1:1 is default on the new tab.
