Those who have various contacts in Northern Europe: Compare libraries, purc strategies, specific quests find people, & You look into other religions?

Recommended Posts

Geographics: I live the Greater City area in the middle of this, I look for other Accordance users or people to inspire to start using Accordance, in entire Sweden, Helsinki, Åland, Poland, Germany and NorthEast France.

To compare libraries: I've got the small Collection but add-ons like sets and some reference material, two academically accepted lexicons I added used. I've followed sales closely for three Years now but more like looking for what's rarely on sale, than going quickly for what's repeatedly on sale. A set I vouch for is Old Testament Library. I bought Anchor Yale Bible Commentary (AYBC) fairly early on, but first the NT then the OT so I've got the possibility to upgrade just one Testament in the set at a time.
A bit more weight on the OT in my Accordance library.
With other platforms You were historically recommended to be an early adopter of a library and look for the best offers on (a) sizeable bundle(s) that You afford but the option that had less than ¾ redundant or low quality resources and databases and this was during times or over at platforms where the amount of text was what made some difference in Your data output. So I've got elsewhere some of the books that one may perhaps be expected to have but that are low quality or with a very limited market (competitors manage to kind of market and definitely sell what has after long periods of time become virtually unsalable other than through almost forced bundling).
I'm glad I sold off some books second hand under the other softwares and that I discovered some sets in such a late phase that when I wanted them I was easily able to wait for the best sales Accordance would offer, such as New International Greek Testament Commentary (NIGTC).

Some sets seem to sometimes surface as temporarily trendy or be like Bigfoot. I may have some such or some such individual titles somewhere that are no-longer sold.

Purchase strategies: Such "principles" that applied elsewhere in another time of digital history, eventually merely made the total of Your library dated and I really feel now how some books I have have now been succeeded (either with new Editions, in which case competitors to Accordance don't offer an upgrade path for owners of the preceding Edition(s), or with more scholarly academic books in which case usually the publisher rather sells little at a high price for many Years and lowers prices only until the books are no-longer the only ones with the conclusions they contain) so that at best what I acquired a bit expensively on the wrong platforms still has value although mainly just for quick lookups in areas where I'm very disoriented anyway or that aid in History of Ideas of more recent times.
Now when I want something I want to jump straight almost to the front line of research but I don't require everything to be quickly produced under Accordance. Specialised resources, or that are based on good (textual) sources.
I still don't need lots (more) of English Bibles, graphics/picture databases/maps, or in other words if some forthcoming Edition will revolutionise things then perhaps - things that are Accordance's strength, but with Bibles I'd expect most of them to improve A LOT technically and scholarship-wise before I'll consider any and I'm never wanting the ones published in the past 10 Years as I'm always busy using much older ones and when I want something new I also want something authors are already basing something on. Just OL lookup in the software is really not enough reason to go with a new English Bible version. I actually put effort into using the Bibles I have and paper copies of them too, so anything additional means I will have to put hours into it.
I prefer non-transliterated OLs.
More about my purchase strategies can be seen in my signatures (Accordance, Logos forums, Christianforums) as well as in the Facebook group Logos Resales where I commented exensively in a thread earlier this Summer, and in a FL group I've created called Creating a Budget and Cancelling Orders - in which I invite all here to join as I think plainly that the discussion that can ensue and that I can keep alive, will be inspiring with more group members.
Examples of smaller purchases that have been important to me: Dictionary of Epigraphic Hebrew, Keil-Delitzch OT commentary set (small in price, which I still haven't duplicated but might get as a print set instead of under Accordance), NIV84, Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels 2nd Edition. These examples of my past performance give a hint! This differs from others a bit in that others often choose (other) full? sets or even bundles instead of these individual modules, and in that many jumped on old or new Editions. Those were in some way a bit one-of-a-kind. I'd like to hear what recommendations You have for me that might suit my seeming purchase strategy? I'd like to have specialised expensive Encyclopedias.
Sets that I know for certain I will upgrade, are Theological Journal Library, Anchor Yale Bible.
Resources that must people like me own but which I do without under powerful software due to their age: AYBD, Study Bibles (I wish Accordance would stop pursuing these as even though they may bring in a bunch of new customers they set the bar so low and I much rather have for example Oxford Bible Commentary), NT use of the OT, and resources that are nothing but about ancient names.
I buy used occasionally and in fact mainly not under Accordance (as it's not necessary under Accordance - what I desired the most is never sold used as people hold on to the dear possessions that they rightfully hold on to under Accordance and since I prefer not to help someone out to switch away from Accordance), not for price-reasons but for the scarceness of any good sales new that has to be combined with that I don't want the very latest volumes but prefer an older set. All softwares seem to eventually bundle subsequently published volumes with the core set, a practice I thought was not like that when I first started expanding my digital libraries.

Specific quests to find people: People who can inspire me and bring a perspective from a much younger generation than myself (my "current" age is in the mid 30s in amount of Years and I've never ever known anyone born the same Year so with this pace I won't make friend with them despite that I made a few easier efforts), young women /girls - and I'd seriously pick up an interest/hobby of hers such as exhausting physical exercise or such as something very specific in History, people with contacts in the mentioned geographical area and the UK, people who do History of Ideas, people who look into the following or have such a network ...:

Looking into what other religions?: Polish national religion/Rodnovery, I just bough this printed matter: Cosmopolitanism, Nationalism, And Modern Paganism (Palgrave Studies In New Religions And Alternative over a hundred $. Conservative but at the same time non-shy living. Ancient Christian "Gnosticism". Women's views and their front line applicable theories throughout thousands of Years of History.

What are Your corresponding answers in these categories? Do You want to compare? You may also list here and at the same time say that You don't wish for long comments on certain sections.

Additional poll question:

Do You attend any SBL International Conferences in the area or go to the conference in Warsaw in the Summer 2019?

Since I posted this I've bought so much more under Accordance, $1½k! But I'm still looking for the people, the discussions, the comparing of libraries and purchase strategies!

I mentioned for example Bible dictionaries. I added IVP Dictionary of the Bible Old Testament parts. I had managed such a long time without a proper coverage because Accordance's search functionalities are tremendously good so I tended to do everything within the environment anyway. Lately I've compared platforms, by commenting on the forums and in my signature and in my Interests in the information on the left in my posts/comments, but I must say that my contentment with Accordance shows perhaps even more clearly over at FB in various groups because I just say how firm I am in my conviction about this platform and the OP usually seems to just be counting numbers how many recommend which platform or perhaps be waiting for the real experts to voice their recommendations/favourite platform.
I also gave in to commentaries from perspectives unlike other commentaries, gave in in the sense of that it's best to guard one's strategies against getting too many commentaries since many series are too similar to each other when looking closely at the conclusions they have and whether they extract anything additional on very overlooked questions. I got myself Wisdom Commentary, Reformation Commentary on Scripture (which I'm also now this ongoing Month getting in print ALL existing volumes)...
I finally gave into the need of a my first digital Study Bible (truly exception for me, I'd rather not get more such in a decade regardless of what comes out).

So if anyone looks me up over at (the) avenues for expressing thoughts, like I said my strategies have been written down a while ago already and I wished for not having to repeat myself here? Even though it may not always seem so, I actually am minimalist in how much I write publicly that gets indexed, and pick my fights. I try to keep this short so that others feel for jumping in here. I'm sorry I ask for so much interaction but I believe in that if someone really understands that the threshold is not high like it may seem though (I haven't made things hard) they will see that for genuine things I have already said welcome!

During this ongoing Year I also needed to be very specific about the only form of feature I want for it to be added at some later point and that otherwise I would just like to see content, I would like to see also that I get a more eventful life in that some girl would go along with me to represent here in the Inner City whom I'd take along on journeys of all the angles of what is missed by everyone, and I would thereby like to be even prouder of the cultivated sophisticated sides of having myself funded such resources, print and digital especially Accordance, that I have, and to in the future marriage (which need not be hurried really) we'd use some of all that I have together - jointly using one computer withing the license agreements, and that I'd thereby feel better about my life's largest monetary investment (home being paid for the most part really unlinked from how I can spend). So what I mean is that I anyhow will buy lots more content (which I think has been repeatedly made clear anyway) and would like to really share interests. And not selfishly so like I said in my OP. And regarding that I'm really unselfish in getting a relationship, if You go to my FB and scroll down You'll so why so?!

Not to make things more personal I'd like to say just one more thing: I've already posted and commented all I needed to here on Accordance forums, liked all the posts and comments I needed to and wanted to. If You search me You can see for example what individual titles I've suggested (one, on Acts, that I recently needed to get in print costing a little more than a hundred $), my keenness on owning all the just right lexicons and wanting the essential ones under Accordance (please like what Hebrew linguistic and database things Accordance is industry leading in or that really should be added as forefront additions which was fully recognised for example by MattChristian)! And in essential keep in mind there is no upper $-limit!
See also this poll by Peter Brylovhttps://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/14488-poll-does-ancient-near-eastern-content-matter-part-2/?hl=%2Bpoll+%2Bane
I finally got around voting yesterday.

Additionally like stressed by Dr J previously in another thread, please show Your support for European publishers by requesting for specific resources and liking posts where mentioned!

In all this I believe the Trinity. /Unix (rarely mentioned all these things in this comment!) I show self-confident facial expressions on town and in places I go, if You'd see me
Wish You happy commenting and contacting and adding! (That latter word is in multiple sense!)

Geographics: I live the Greater City area in the middle of this, I look for other Accordance users or people to inspire to start using Accordance, in entire Sweden, Helsinki, Åland, Poland, Germany and NorthEast France.

Apperently, we in the uk can also contribute, so get your thoughts in while we are still in northern europe!!!!!!!

My strategy has changed now I've retired to getting what is published by accordance that interests me. Ive also just moved to a new parish, so i dont know how my ministry will develop so this will probably change.

Initially moving to accordance my strategy was to Duplicate my essential hard copy resources with electronic or equivalent.

Accordance gave me the opportunity To explore and improve my original languages so ive slowly built this up as finances allowed but am so pleased with what i have been able to get.

Also accordance publications and forum discussions made me aware of areas of study i was previously unaware of so built that up as i became aware of areas that looked interesting.

There are also resources and authors i had in hard copy but couldnt justify duplicating but as those series have been expanded, ive waited for them to become available in accordance rather than get them in hard copy (eg nt wright final volume on paul).

I only get hard copy that i think will never be available in accordance (particularly orthodox material published by svs).

Basically, if its not in accordance and i can wait, then i will wait.

If i need it or think it is unlikely to come to accordance such as ami jill levine's parables of jesus, then i will get it.

When i got the zondervan cd from accordance (mailed to the uk) i never expected to get much more. When i look at my account and my purchase history, i am so thankful i have been able to build such a useful library with all the add ons.

Particularly interesting: Sthlm Original Greater-City area, Järfälla, Tyresta forest, Vallentuna and Märsta (so not Sigtuna postal location, Norrtälje, Nynäshamn, Jordbro, Österåker, Södertälje nor Botkyrka - if You live in those places moving in is the better option), Västerås, Örebro, Borås, Mariehamn, England, Poland, Strasbourg

I want us to hang out, OK? Don't be shy to speculate if I'm available!

I'm looking for fidelity and that You will focus on the NOW and not the past (since I can explain it away but I'd not even myself want to dwell on it)

It doesn't matter if You are extroverted or introverted, what matters is to sometime take rurns in making an initiative. You also don't have to have lots and lots of time or an as active free time as I have!

It does matter that You've read the Tanakh and the New Covenant and some of the Deuterocanonicals (such as Ecclesiasticus) and Gospel of Peter, so if You haven't, start now!

I will take the interest or hobby YOU have and take s lot of my own alone time to catch up with You (unlike other men I do have that amount of time ALL it takes) and to build my physical strength, so we will have lots in common to discuss, talk and do things like volleyball, badminton, bicycle.

You need to be age 19-27 and yes it's easier a lot of things with that age difference between us, for one we can go frequently to represent, and You'll still form into someone who will use books together - and to the extent that most of mine are on the computer still adapt to using the computers that are dedicated mostly to Bible Software since it will be mind boggling to You how far the development has come!

Even two Years older than that upper limit I could not sustain an introduction with, to whom I am, they didn't want the resumeé-like stories I can tell and they had too much focus on succeding by working double shifts as entrepreneurs (I know I don't want to work long Weeks just my Sole trader firm but I bet they would have been more impressed if I would have), besides most City dwellers in Sweden women who are around 30 want a slightly younger mature man who is not dependant on anyone and I really don't fit that mold.

(Just one more child, a new small family, living on a small space is what I know I'm capable of with all that it entails.) I also don't talk ownership homes, horse estates, vacations to the sun that most women who would in a matter of three Weeks take a guy who has a decent degree already or a steady office job (but who doesn't offer to use many thousands of books on the computer in the free time together, ironically) instead of me - as they would be searched out by such type of men

Geographics: Add Denmark!

I've built my libraries a lot since I last posted. You can see some of what I've added from some posts I've made here on the forums as well as from my forums signature (which is attached in some posts - I choose occasions where I feel the need for having the signature).

I've acquired new faith: That Christ established a monarchical line and there was Mary Magdalene. This was largely supressed. Anyway, if You aren't looking for much new views You needn't bother to contact me. But I also want Your views please.

Let me say also: What I largely asked for in this thread, did come true! My prayeres were heard and answered.

Now, I'd like to know more people. Are You an active user of softwares, need people with broad perspective such as mine but who aren't complacent and who do have much more to say about views on History? I would also like to get in touch with pope in geo-sciences! Another new area for me is Chemistry. I'd also still need more Linguistics people who have some time. And I've decided to next Summer do more Maths.

It would also be cozy to compare libraries in this thread! This is also a purpose of this thread. So those to who don't want to network with us, may do so here! And I'd like for more people to start out on that!

Also note: Please send me private messages and I'll give contact information! I do have some systems. I just don't keep devices on neither all day nor nights. I will always afford regular phone-calls to everywhere.

I've done a lot for others, and did pay off debts. I trusted two government to distribute money and managed payments that weren't merely taxation and even so went into those state banks. About this I'm fairly open. It's efficient and there weren't marketing costs nor hassle to find those in need. I won't more times in life though.

Now I'm a student, not of Biblical Sciences or Linguistics, but anway, I'm more into Juridical now.

There are things lacking in my life, still: I don't have any bicycles whether a normal one or specialised, how well I manage financially, varies and since I've helped out others (I'll tell about that privately) I'd like to be helped in my turn. You mustn't have difficiculties to see that it can't be the case that those who have I have helped should turn around and do what they can for me! Money has a dynamic in the World.

I'd be really glad for only a few things: If my parents would think that my aims are optimal, if I would not need to compromise with computing power (already compromised in that I won't be getting a GPU at all), if I could one day do yet again things that I haven't for a very long time: Highly specialised taxi bicycling over here; metal workshop; if I could keep getting new friends until before I turn even Years; if I could stop annoying anyone - be it when I'm too elaborate; when I save in too much on things like water; if I could keep in touch with my friends and see some of those few in the LDS that are those that I really must see before they are gone (maybe if You live in Västra Frölunda or in Uppsala You could help me out right now?).

I don't really have any major gripes with what is offered to me and what is offered to everyone. Only that I would like much more people to support the published De Gruyter, and the Bible Software versions of Encyclopaedia Britannica 1911 Edition. But other than that? No, no gripes or important wished. There are some less crucial wishes that it can't hurt if I'm heard or nodded to: Such as development of a 12.4 version to support new book formats (I still am not upgrading the software, this not that I wouldn't support Accordance, to the contrary, I just don't install on more devices anyway and don't necessary need to run multiple softwares on the same machine in parallel, and don't have need for the Collections, and don't want versions with bugs not sorted out at this moment in life). But that's it. I'd like for more people also to browse and scroll back in my history here on the forums as well as on my own FB wall, and like posts! Particularly if You'd like to be friends with me! I know I say a lot, on the other hand pretty much everything that is on the internet is things that I don't get to say enough IRL. For OakTree staff, there are some links in my profile that You can see about me as a customer, in the list of URL:s, check that out! (Not often posting any links.)
I also have one post with gripes about how these forums are used or not used - just a few details that need to be noticed!

I won't bother to link to every post there that I'm talking about, because here on the forums I haven't written an overwhelming number of posts, so it is easy enough for just anyone go browse pretty much every topic I've handled here. And sometimes, rarely, when I've pasted links there have been slight errors so that links have had typos in them and I don't have the energy and focus right now on this slow 17" computer to iron out every error for certain before making links in this post, sobother I just won't with that this time, there's enough work to keep English typos out right now (spell check not installed, so about every word is aligned red as if they were typos).

If everything would just start rolling now, all the things I've stated above, I would save huge amounts of time by not needing to post more things whether here or on FB or anywhere. I'd need that time, really, to succeed with family, with getting the highest grade (that is necessary, and yes that part is pretty competetitive indeed over here in most things that bring joy and fullfillment).

There are things I haven't been able to pursue anymore because of how I need to prioritise: Singing, needed to cut down on how much time I spend on History, how high priority families have. I do think I've made the right prioritations.

I know, furthermore, that for personal compatibility, it is of utmost importance that You are health-aware and do a lot for great health: Chewing well, nutrition, skip meat of most or all kinds. I've fixed these things and the kinds of bacteria, in my body.

Have cut down on invoices, AND I've really got the hang of disputing invoices. I also give a different side of myself in differing occasions and to different people and people do end up quantifying things differently in their mind about ...
And of all that I'm content.

Also, not to forget, personality psychology is important. I've changed from ENTJ to INFJ. Though I would keep saying that I have great social skills. I just don't have all the chance to go out. On Enneagram I'm 3w7. Therefore You see me sometimes being elaborate and sometimes only briefly or vaguely mentioning things. Or the odd compination of BOTH in one talk, such as this very post.

There is hardly anyone who has all the good views of me I intended for someone to have. Eleanor has. And I have only 100% top best memories and views of her and of Emily (who also could have kept high regards of everything). I've stopped for good making the best be known of me.
________________________________________

I have enough happiness in life. All I'm seeking, is for my parents to actually choose sides, they aren't neutral to anything anyway.

What words do, money doesn't. What money does, words don't. One-time occasions, are the very best things life has to offer everyone! And very few people all-in-all, get the best possible one-time life events and the best surprises imaginable. You need not know what I'm talking about. You can know that joy and gratitude springs forth.

Human relations are not statistics. But heroes are still created. What is brought forth as collaboration is usually enough. One-man's strife usually doesn't settle things if there isn't much greatness to point out.

I know the things I want and that there wouldn't be anything but perfection about them if those aware of how things are going would step in and bring about the things. I will let my words here stand forever, and as my last words.

Life isn't hard not not enjoyable.

What I most and foremost need, is the greatest focus and not having to do micro-management. I need to accomplish, and for that to happen I need to have her cared for financially, in order for me to not be worried the slightest for the whole duration of a foreseeable future. Meaning, only one-time help is what is actually helpful. Anything else isn't.

The best of my life isn't long since passed. I know how to revive the best things and they are stated in this post, albeit vaguely perhaps since I will print this out and hand to some people and they will know what all this was about, that I talk about in roundabout ways. Knowing all too well how algorithms work, I don't want to make too many explicit expressions.

If You find me interesting and fascinating, send a private message! I could bring many of the things said in this post, in context. I could do that over a voice phone call. Perhaps SMS. There are other systems. Even just over PM on these forums. On FB. Enough options for sure besides in person.

Books are trustworthy friends. Like most things in life, one can have too many. I've been selective what I wanted. For example: The past company named WORDsearch: When I bought a Collection I had it tailor-made to contain ONLY what I actually wanted to see added under the format and altogether in my library, so I LEFT OUT hundreds of books not to be had. For that I'm content of course. I also cherry-picked pretty much everything I have, sold away as much as possible, and have seen to the re-sellability of my libraries.

Geographics: Add Austria, Scotland, Northern Italy, Kalmar, Östersund, New Zealand, Taiwan, Ukraine, Benin, Kuwait.
Suitable occasion to send a letter: Round Years celebrations are coming up, both me and my dad (somewhat near each other). You will probably find address especially if You use FB or can search ratsit.se

I entered lawschool. It starts January 15. 2021 and is at 75% pace of full time pace for a Year and four Months. It's great that everything will be, at work, accomodated by desktop computer instead of any need for smartphones or tablets in use, this was a criteria I had looking for a new occupation.
What we Scientists really want to thank everyone with, is this, regardless of whether You even contact (though I'd love to research together plus to, like previously stated get in touch with a girl write text call and meet up, since I don't I now have a girlfriend at all (explanations seemed not to have settled things much (what is needed is 41000:- kr for us to give, though I promised everything de Gruyter has in her fields already in I think it was January 2020, and now fulfilled that promise):
FREE until turn of the Year:

Geographics: Add these too besides what all I've said already: The Ukraine, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Minnesota, Södertälje, Portugal! I also would somewhat understand people from India (which I like for that there isn't inflationary pressure) or Lithuania (which has the best mineralwater) - and I haven't been in close touch since after 2013 with anyone from those two countries. I have learned to know a few new people, so I already think I know enough people from places like Switzerland, Virginia (which I MIGHT visit this Summer which will in that case be the only occsion, if at all possible I'd be glad to summon people in North America there, planning hasn't started yet), Canada, Uleåborg/Oulu.
Note that EVERY place that I've mentioned so far, is a carefully chosen geographical specifiation of from whom I really want to (must) know people! I'm limiting things down, yes, conciously, there is a limit how many people I can handle but I haven't reach the limit. I still manage to remember every friend, new and old, and still manage to make some efforts towards getting a new couple relationship - though oftentimes the distances tend to hamper since I would not necessarily be able to withstand the cost of tickets further away than Northern Germany.

Library comparison: On one hand it is good to speak to those who have actively built up an own library, I will certainly be able to compare. I have a decently diverse library, I have recently gained for example books in Pastoral Care and Counceling. As well as more Early Church Fathers (about which one local girl is enthusiastic but I had not found her until almost nine days ago now) - which I have fairly complete now sans Original Languages. On the other hand I've changed my mind this Autumn and Winter to that the persons I'd meet need not necessarily, after all, be so bookish. There are factors which make most people prioritise to spend their money elsewhere than on books, and there are restraints naturally, how many and over what distances, I can have a very fruitful collaboration or reading together of books with some/someone. I still regard and anew, with pride, my selectiveness as something good and which has cost me a lot, though not dearly because I gained most of my holdings while I was still more autonomous and with more margin to make fiscal decisions about my life.
