Compound Search for both verse and word

Blessings all.  Please advise how to accomplish this goal (see attached).  I looked at Lighting the Lamp (#46) Search All Techniques), but this kind of request wasn't covered there.  (Plus that podcast deals with version 9.) Thank you.

TYA, thanks for the question.

Mark, thanks for showing how to accomplish the task.

I am wondering if a specific forum Discussion Group such as "How do I do …" could act as a depository of inquiries and answers as illustrated in this thread.

Shalom

Just a note:

All podcasts that appear in the Topical Index (https://www.accordancebible.com/Podcasts-Index) are relevant to the latest version of Accordance, even if they were recorded with a previous version. We don't produce podcasts on every feature each time we upgrade Accordance, just on those that are new or improved.

I totally agree.  I feel awkward putting these questions in "Technical Support," but so far it seems best.

All podcasts... are relevant to the latest version of Accordance

Thank you.

@Mark: Thank you for the search tip, but that wasn't really my question.  That only finds "Texts," which is good to know, but as my initial screenshot indicated, I'm actually more interested in everything *other than* the texts (i.e. "Tools," "Lexicons," "Grammars," etc.).  Those don't show with this search (see attached).

I know we have had a number of requests for additional data fields in Research (e.g. "word" and "verse reference"), but such a feature has not appeared to date.

Our chief programmer is fond of saying, "With enough time and money anything is possible" (programming-wise). Given that both time and money are limited, we have prioritized the features and enhancements that are most requested or most needed. Now, I imagine if someone with deep pockets was willing to underwrite the cost of programming such a feature, it could appear much more rapidly! :D

Thanks as always.  Yes, add my request for the additional search fields to the stack, please.  :)

I know we have had a number of requests for additional data fields in Research (e.g. "word" and "verse reference"), but such a feature has not appeared to date.

I'm just popping this thread (i.e. feature request) back up to Accordance' attention, after watching a friend tonight perform a program-wide search (similar to "Research") for *both* verse reference *and* content in another Bible software.

My new love and passion for Accordance is being hampered by what I call "mandatory search filters" that force the user to select only one kind of text to search, versus being able to search "all" regardless of the programmers' choice of classification.  (Note: I have already pointed out that the "OR" search functionality doesn't even work properly, returning illogical / incorrect results).

Now I know that requesting multiple search criteria for the program-wide "Research" function may be asking a lot, but just know that the competition has it, and it makes a huge difference.  And I especially like how the competition allows verse references (e.g. Gen 6:4) to be searched in concert with text (e.g. giants), so that I could find all resources which mention "giants" in connection to Genesis 6:4.

And so, this is technically a request for two things: 1) the ability to search "All" text (versus being forced to choose a filter that limits results (and occasionally doesn't work properly)); and 2) being able to do a compound "Research" for both verse reference and content.  Ok, it is technically a *reminder* :) but who doesn't benefit from reminders now and then.

Thank you, wonderful Accordance Team.
