Better (Hebrew) popup pasting

Hello,

I'm pretty new to Accordance, having made the move from BibleWorks not too long ago.  I am grateful for some of the updates already made to help us BibleWorks users make the jump!

One of the great features of BibleWorks was its control over the formatting of verses pasted from the popup tool.  I'm a Windows / Office 2016 user, and I found it incredibly helpful.  I still use it, but I'm trying to become more fluent in Accordance.

The "Get Verses" dialog box in Accordance works fairly well, but I'd love to see a few things:

1. The popup box doesn't show as the top window when the Ctrl + Alt + A key combination is pressed.  I have to hunt for it.

2. The Ctrl + Alt + A key combination only works on the left side of my keyboard.  It would be nice to use either side.

3.  When pasting Hebrew text, I am able to use the Citation Reference to format the citation, but not the way I would like.  For example, when reading Hebrew text in the browse window, starting from the right side I have the chapter and verse,  then moving toward the left is the text.

After having tried all 4 possibilities of Citation placement (Above, Before, After, Below) to change the text inserted by the Get Verses popup, the citation has a different appearance, but not like the browse window.  Having the reference on the right side, followed by the text, really helps me as I study and take notes.  I greatly prefer to work in Word, pasting verses in as I go, not having to interrupt my train of thought by switching back and forth to manually select verses with a mouse, then cutting and pasting them into Word.

I imagine you have many other things to work on, but I would love to see this improved.

Thanks,

I'm piggy-backing on Alan's helpful post to comment on another aspect of the citation function that I've been wanting to make a suggestion about.

I use the cmd + alt + a function (Mac) almost constantly and appreciate it. It's true that opening that dialogue box while working in Word or Mellel, etc., would make the work flow even smoother. BUT it only works with English references.

This means that when I am working on a document in French and paste a verse into it, I have to go back manually and change the references. This is a seemingly small detail, but one that ends up becoming potentially very time consuming. Would it be possible to personalize this functionality? In BW it was possible to 1) use the separators one wanted to (i.e., Rom. 4:21ff OR Rm 4,21ss, etc.) based on local usage and 2) use a standard list of abbreviations following the language. This list was modifiable by the user, which made it extremely helpful, since ecclesial or academic circles, as well as publishing houses, have different abbreviations.

I could send along a list of the French abbreviations as given in the TOB, for example, if that could be of any assistance.

Many thanks for all the work that goes into making Accordance a great program!
