NET Bible Version 2?

Hi,

 

I had three questions.

 

1. When will the version 2 NET be available on Accordance?

 

2. If/when it becomes available. Is that upgrade free for people who have version 1?

 

3. In general, if a Bible translation is updated, is it free to upgrade to the most updated version?

As for having to pay for upgrades it typically depends on how big the upgrade is. A lot of the time the publisher has a great deal to say on this.

Revtim is correct, it all depends. Sometimes this is a new edition on which royalties are due so the upgrade is a paid upgrade, or there is not upgrade path. Sometimes we charge an upgrade fee to compensate for the work of adding or revising content. Sometimes the changes are minor or the publisher wants everyone to use the new version, so it's a free automatic upgrade for everyone.

Excellent, and when do you suspect version 2 may become available?

Depends on when it was published. Sometimes the digital version Accordance gets is well after the initial publishing date.
