I'm having issues understanding the new Inscription Syntax Module to determine if it's something I could even purchase and if I could benefit from it. Can someone assist?

Nathan,

Have you used the syntax module for HMT? Do you already use the Hebrew Inscriptions module?

I have used the Syntax Module for the HMT. I don't know if I have the Hebrew inscriptions module. I currently have: HMT, BHS, BHQ, DSS Bible, ETCBC, Samaritan Pentateuch.

The Hebrew Inscriptions module contains extra-biblical texts mostly from the Iron II period. The module name is INSCR. Here is the page

https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=INSCRIP

You can get an idea of what types of materials are included by looking at the table of contents for this book

https://yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300103977/hebrew-inscriptions

and by looking at the Hebrew inscriptions on this page

https://www.kchanson.com/ANCDOCS/westsem/westsem.html

The syntax module will not be of much use without the INSCR module.

Thanks for the info! I don't think I need the Inscriptions module for my current research, but good to know it is in Accordance if it turns out I do.
