miketisdell
I was trying to locate every occurence of iesus being translated as Joshua, but when entered the search criteria the search failed. You can see here that the key is G2424, and a search for just this key does return Heb. 4:8 However, when I search for this key and "Joshua" I get no results. Λύχνις Δαν
You want [KEY G2424]@Joshua not AND as you want the two properties to be found on the one word. Thx D
miketisdell
You want [KEY G2424]@Joshua not AND as you want the two properties to be found on the one word. Thx D That is definitely what I want (a better option) and it does work; however, I believe the other search should have worked but has more potential for false positives. The other search does work if I use "Jesus" rather than "Joshua." (obviously excluding the results I am looking to find).
Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Mike, I thought about that when I wrote my response but I was not where I had access to Accordance to test it. So I could not give a fuller explanation. I can double check it tonight and let you know what I think if no one has leapt in in the meantime to explain that. Joel Brown
This is not a bug. When searching using the terms cannot both be the same word. This has been a deliberate choice to enable users to search for terms such as "earth earth" to find repeated terms. I recommend you use the @ sign, as Daniel suggested.

I doubled checked the results I got when using "Jesus" and all had two occurrences. This is not a bug. When searching using <AND> the terms cannot both be the same word. Joel Brown
To do the negative, use the minus sign: [KEY G2424]@-Jesus
