Hover over a word

Hi all those in Christ!

 

Total Accordance Basic newbie here.

 

When I hover my pointer over a word, I see the Hebrew/Greek in the pane below.

When I triple-click a description shows in the Strong Dictionary pane.

I would like to change this for several reasons.

A] Somehow triple-clicks fail often for me.

B] Triple-click is to distracting.

C] I'm not interested in the contents of the bottom pane (just the full description)

 

 

My ideal setup:

A] BibleWorks style hovering over a word shows the full description.

b} Shift-Click for the full description would be even better.

 

From what I understood 'Live Click' is what I need. I must be doing something very wrong because it's very annoing to use.

Example: 1 Chr. 29:3 ESV

Clicking God works fine.

'addition', 'gold', 'silver' and 'devotion' among others throw an error

"These words were not found in any of the tools or texts requested."

 

I only have the Strong's pane open.

When I double-click a word, Lexicon Lookup and Word usage automatically open.

That's no big deal because they are useful.

The error is very irritation. Can I configure it away? If the word isn't found just show a empty pane.

Besides of that, it strikes me as odd that very common words like silver and gold aren't in any lexicon.

 

The word 'God' is only found in 'Eerdmans Dictionary'. Also quite odd because I would guess any Christian dictionary has some info about God.

 

So what am I doing wrong....?

Is anything of the above possible?

 

 

 

Additional questions.

 

How do I uninstall certain Bibles I never use (certain languages). They only take up space and more importantly, I never ever want to search in them.

 

Final question: Is there a way to backup and install contents without downloading it? I would hate to invest a lot of money in a program that I can no longer use when the company shuts down.

Press control by hover over and you'll see the full 

 

I know some other who wants to have always the full description, hopefully there is a setting in the next release to address this.

Shift-Click has in tagged Bibles another function. Triple-Click open the dictionary for the Greek or Hebrew dict. With Shift-Triple-Click it opens an English dictionary. 

With Live Click this difference works too.

Mmh I have multiple hits. Have you pressed Shift?

Just right click in the Library and you can delete it. 

Then they should be in the Trash and you can copy and paste it from there into another folder.

@TYA, I might at a later date. Right now I'm so new to Accordance (less than a week) that I'll first explore it's functionality.

Triple-Click without pressing Shift opens the dictionary for the Greek or Hebrew dict. With Shift-Triple-Click it opens an English dictionary.
