gegham73
I have been trying to search a specific Bible verse in the Qumran non-biblical documents (English translation), but haven't been able to do it, since I am a new Accordance user. Any help? Thanks in advance, Gegham Edited December 19, 2018 by gegham73
Paul Meiklejohn
Is it the The Qumran Comprehensive Bible. If so make sure that the search ref is set for Scripture. Click the ref button just inside the search tab. There will be a drop-down index. Choose scripture. Generally that will be the same for all non-Biblical texts. Helen Brown
You are wanting to search QUMENG but as it is a non-Biblical text, the references are just part of the text and can be searched within the Words field, for example Amos find three cross references. Amos 8 11 finds Amos 8:11.
gegham73
Paul and Emerald, thanks for your responses, but I still couldn't do what I wanted to. Now let me be more specific. I want to search Isaiah 53 (verse by verse) throughout the whole non-Biblical documents and see how Qumran community interpreted Isaiah 53. Paul Meiklejohn
In this case use the research tool Type in Isaiah 53 Before you press return… Go to the magnifying glass and set your preferences Make sure your tick ‘verses' and all ‘tools’ You can limit your research if you scroll down to specific genre further down the list. Hit return p.s. It was Helen who replied ‘Emerald’ is her membership level. Screen shot

Paul Meiklejohn
If you put an =sign in front of =Isaiah 53 it will confine the search to that spec range of text. Paul.
