Some examples of how the verses are shown on a map or key, note these links are not hyperlinked and i have heavily cropped the actual map in an attempt not to violate the copyright. I mainly use this for the maps but there are references in the text and i have also included part of the table from judges plus a bit on capernaum to answer your question about a town.

 

As you can tell, this is one of my favourite resources and at the current sale price, i think its a no brainer, but even at its list price its good value and worth having in your library. Totally unbiased!!!!!!
