The link for View New Content is useful and if I click into every topic listed there they will no longer be in the New Content list.
Is there also a way to mark all of these as Read in one move? Something like a Mark All Read button?

There is! It's a tad obscure and requires a couple clicks. At the very bottom left in small text is a Mark Community Read button, which opens a menu where you can select Mark all as read.

Well, that's only slightly embarrassing.
Thanks!

Ha, I never noticed that either! Thanks for asking. By asking questions we all learn new things (or relearn things we have forgotten.)
Thanks for chiming in Fraser and Rich.

On the mobile version it is much easier to find it.
