NIDB Hebrews: nonsense?

Alistair

Recommended Posts

"Faith a literary artistry unmatched in the NT, the writer of Hebrews begins addressing the readers."

The Letter to the Hebrews, NIBC Vol. 12 : Outline of Hebrews

https://accordance.bible/link/read/NIB-NT#28360

Is it just me, or does that sentence make no sense to others as well?

Sorry that should have read NIBC not NIDB in the title. New Interpreters Bible Commentary

A little more context would help but on its own it sounds incomplete.

Thx

Looks to me like either some text is missing between "Faith" and "a literary artistry," or perhaps "Faith" has simply replaced another word like "Displaying." We'll check it against the print and get it fixed.

Should read "With a literary artistry..." We'll have a fix asap.

I just checked the print and the source files given to us from Abingdon.

The print has “With” in the place of “Faith.”

The source e-text has “Faith.”

The fix will be pushed with the next NIB-NT update.

[edit: Mark beat me to it.]

They OCR'd their own text ? Or the etext isn't the one the print came from - interesting.

thx

NIB-NT has been updated to version 1.3 and fixes this issue.
