I just did the upgrade to the latest version I am curious if the replaced volumes will  show up in my library or if i have to figure out which ones I had to manually get them back?

Hi, I am not a mod or anything, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I recall a similar question being asked and the answer was that you keep both versions as if you bought both with an upgrade.

Ofc, IDK what stipulations or exceptions there are so that is why I say take what I say with a grain of salt.

Daniel, it depends on which release you are upgrading from. If, for example, you are upgrading from NICNT18, then any superseded (classic) volumes should now show up in Easy Install under NICNT18 as additional modules for you to download (e.g. NICNT-Romans, NICNT-Galatians, NICNT-Col Phm Eph). Once you download those individual volumes, you can remove NICNT18 from your Library without losing any material. NICNT-19 will contain all the new volumes; the individual classic volumes you downloaded will allow you to run them in parallel with the latest releases.

This NICOT page and this NICNT page may help in knowing where volumes are and are not.

If you're not seeing volumes in Easy Install that you are expecting, please let me know so I can check the databases. There were tons of changes done for this release so I could have overlooked something.

I am not seeing them in my easy install. And my library currently contains the following NIC modules.

Thanks, Daniel. I'll take a look. The classic volumes should be showing up in Easy Install for you.

The NT classics seemed to show up but NICOT: The Books of Haggai and Malachi, by Pieter A. Verhoef (Classic 1987 Version) has yet to materialize thank you for the help. And apologies if I am being impatient as I said the NT volumes materialized.

:) Then I'm making progress. I haven't made it to the OT just yet.

These types of series upgrades get complicated in the databases. I know it's complicated for you guys as well.

Not showing up for me either. I can't even re-install the 18 and 25 volumes sets. Nice to hear that it's just a bug though.

So did you get all the classic volumes downloaded?

What system are you on? (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android) Did you get NT-19 and OT-26 downloaded?

Accordance 12.3.2 MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 still no sign of the Pieter A. Verhoef volume. Just ran Easy install and check for updates. As of yet nothing popping up anywhere for that one remaining classic volume.

Thanks for your patience, Daniel (and everyone else). I just made another database change that I think will fix the OT. Can you now verify that you have all 4 classic volumes (1-OT, 3-NT)?

Given the confusion that clings to the changes in this series over time, could you tell us in this thread what the 4 classic volumes are? Thank you very much! The LORD bless you and keep you.

There are more than 4 classic volumes in this series. Users who are upgrading from the most recent set will have 4 new classic volumes, however, there are earlier classics as well.

The OT has only 1 classic volume:

  • Haggai/Malachi by Pieter A. Verhoef (1987) (NICOT-Hag & Mal)

The entire NT series has the following classic volumes (the most recent "classics" are marked with **):

  • The Book of John–Leon Morris (1995) (NICNT-John)
  • The Epistle to the Romans–Douglas Moo (1996) (NICNT-Romans) **
  • The First Epistle to the Corinthians–Gordon D. Fee (1987) (NICNT-1 Cor)
  • The Epistle to the Galatians–Ronald Y. K. Fung (1988) (NICNT-Galatians) **
  • The Book of Hebrews–F. F. Bruce (1990) (NICNT-Hebrews)
  • The Book of James–James Adamson (1976) (NICNT-James)
  • The Epistles to the Colossians, to Philemon and to the Ephesians–F. F. Bruce (1984) (NICNT-Col Phm Eph) **
