Gary Pauley
Is there a setting that makes any new parallel text I open always vertical rather than horizontal? I could not find it in the preferences. I seldom want a pane to be horizontal on my laptop.

Gary Pauley
Well there you go. Wonder how many times I looked over that...? Thanks.
Abram K-J
Ha! Me too. Funnily enough, when I read your post I thought--I know that's in the Preferences, and realized I had it un-checked, even though I literally always change from horizontal to vertical. Now I don't have to either!
Tim Hall
Awesome! Thanks Abram, mine had become un-checked too and I had forgotten about the setting.
Abram K-J
That's interesting--if I knew about this already, I must have selected vertical at one time, too (since I never use horizontal if I can help it), so maybe some update reset the default? Tim Hall
Mine happened when I switched to using the aleph version exclusively, now that i think about it.
