eshane7
I have been using Accordance for a while (version 11). I recently got a church computer, so I'm not using my personal Mac at church now. I installed Accordance from the App Store (version 12). However, the Research bar that I used to use in 11 is not there... I'm a little stumped and confused about how this works. Can I downgrade to version 11 to get it back? I didn't pay for the version 12 (it was the only version in the App Store). What can I do to get my research bar back, and search my entire library... I need/use that quite a bit. Thanks! Shane
Mark Allison
You can download version 11 here: https://www.accordancebible.com/Accordance-Installers/ The free lite version of Accordance 12 is limited in a number of ways, including the lack of a Research tab. BTW, if you want to upgrade (and there a lot of cool features in version 12) it's only about $49, minus any discounts you may be eligible for.
eshane7
I didn't realize that I installed a lite version. I looked at the version difference before, and didn't see a need to upgrade for now. Thanks for the info!
KcSees
I do not have the lite version and the research bar is missing from the top right hand corner since the newest update.
Mark Allison
Can you add it back by right-clicking on the toolbar, selecting "customize toolbar" and dragging the research bar to the correct position?
KcSees
When I right click the tool bar and select customize tool bar, the research bar is not an option
KcSees
To be sure, the research bar I am talking about is the is the one where you could type a specific word in and it would run through all your resources and pull information that was pertinent information. Mark Allison
Have you installed the lite version?
KcSees
I don't believe so... it was there before I got the newest update pushed a couple of weeks ago... I am also unsure why next to my picture on here it says that I am running version 11. How would I install the appropriate version? I just installed what was pushed to me. KcSees
I have never ran the lite version before, but with the newest update that was released in April, it appears that for some reason I am down on the lite version. 12.3.4 MAS Lite April 2019
KcSees
I paid for the upgrade in 11/14/16 not too long after it updated from 11.
Helen Brown
I think you may have several versions on your computer, and I suggest you contact our tech support to sort it out. You don't want to be using both the MAS version from the App Store, as well as our version from our web store.
KcSees
Can you send me a link to run the one from the web store and I will delete accordance off my computer and reinstall? To my knowledge, I have not downloaded anything from the App Store on to the computer... I have for my iPad and iPhone. I still don't understand why I had the search bar until the April update
KcSees
Never mind, I found it. currently downloading it.
Silas Marrs
From the version name you posted "12.3.4 MAS Lite April 2019" the MAS means it's from the "Mac App Store". You should avoid having both a MAS version and a version downloaded from our website, or you will have problems. I suggest you reach out to tech support like Helen suggested if you have further problems.
