miketisdell
Which 5th Revised edition of the Vulgate is correct? Were there really two different 5th edition readings? Daniel Francis
Not overly helpful I know but I thought i would check out another vulgate for a clue and the 5th from DBS seems to follow the New Vulgate of 1986 but i cannot say which is the correct rendering for that edition. Also there is a slim chance both are right, in that I do remember one verse in Revelation 18 of the NRSV my audio edition seemed to have not got right only to discover a change had been made to that verse, between initial release and current printings (never did find out why or when it changed from identical wording of the RSV to the current rendering of the NRSV but I do have an Oxford text edition with the shorter rendering in it). Haec est generatio quaerentium eum, quaerentium faciem Dei Iacob. Nova Vulgata Bibliorum Sacrorum Editio, Editio Typica Altera (Vatican City: Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 1986), Ps 24:6. -dan

Fabian
Maybe Mr. Voss https://www.die-bibel.de/ueber-uns/organisation/ansprechpartner/can answer your question. This site is only available if you set the GBS site on German. Greetings Fabian
Fabian
From the print version. Sorry the images are too big from my iPhone for this forum. But in short: There are 2 Psalms. As you can see the 2 modules. Vulgate-T and Latin Vulgate (Parallel Texts). The latter is translated from the LXX. Greetings Fabian
