Please add an X button to clear search text in search dialog

Hi ya,

 

Adjacent to the basic text tab search box there is a X button to clear all the search text. However, in the full search dialog there is not easy way to clear the whole search text. Adding an X button would be helpful.

Just curious, D., do you mean this search field in my screenshot?  Does not triple-clicking the mouse in the field not highlight everything so that it can be overwritten?

Hey Toma,

 

  This is for Android not the desktop.

 

  Now, that said, the approach you specify does work on Android - long tap - highlights a word - context menu comes up tap SELECT ALL - then backspace. All that takes a little while and three taps - one long and two short. So it seems natural to add a single button to clear the search field as that already exists for the search box on its own.
