Search results IOS 3.0 Iphone SE vs Windows 12.3.3 Differ

I must  be doing something wrong.

When I search HMT-w4 on windows for בנב I get 4 results and on IOS only 2 (really just one verse with a kray and ktiv)

IOS gives me just 2Sam 21:16

whereas windows gives me

But I see the iOS hasn't the function of the "Letters" search which you are using to get 4 hits. If you do also a "Word" search you get also only 2 Hits.

 

But this 2 Hits are also only one it is only a variant. Dr. J. had made a Podcast about this #172) Bracketed Words

 

So we need a feature request for the "Letter" search in iOS.

Fabian,  So there is no "letter" search available on IOS.  That's the problem!

So, if I have to search just  נב  and look through the results for the verse that I am looking for

You can search for the phrase ב נב on any platform.

i get the same results on Android. But it's interesting.

 

Doing a word search for ב נב finds two hits :1 Sam. 22:11; Is. 10:32

Doing a word search for בנב finds two hits in one verse : 2 Sam. 21:16

 

This true on Android and Mac.

 

Letters search for בנב on Mac finds all four.

 

Looking at the hits these are different words. The 2Sam hits are a person's name whereas the others are a prep plus a place name.

 

I'm sure others knew this but it was educational for me.
