With the so-called "enhancements" to the Mac App Store in Mojave, is there any good reason to move the Accordance installation to the Mac App Store, or is it better to still get it direct from Accordance as I have always done?

Thanks!

I'm mildly interested here. What is the advantage to installing from the App Store, if any?

See here: https://www.accordan...n-Mac-App-Store

If given the option, and this is me just talking as a general user, I always choose apps downloaded from the developer rather than the App Store. For one, because the developer then gets the entirety of the purchase price, and for another because the lack of sandboxing allows for greater flexibility.

There might be particular reasons for choosing an App Store version, but if you have the option, I'd go the other route.

Mac Appstore gives full Hand Off Support which I prefer.

Graham, that confirmed my suspicions. Mostly drawbacks, and it seems the version posting there is a little slower due to the review.

Now if it were a developer I did not know well or trust, the sandboxing can be a feature.

Thanks for the info. Seems I should still stick with the direct method as I have been doing.

On Handoff, I'm showing Handoff support in the direct version. Are there features of Handoff that don't work in the direct version?

Yes, that’s why I wrote “full”. In the full it only works from iOS to the Mac, but not from the Mac to iOS. So uf you work on the Mac and you have to go out you can’t sync and then take only your iOS devices with you.

Sure you can also without Hand Off support, but not so seamlessly.
