SWC
Someone e-mailed us here in Sales requesting the "Tewahedo Narrower and Broader Bible canon". We suggested that he register and post the request himself, but he asked that we do it for him. He says, "There are a lot of books not yet translated into any language, and so they are not accessible to us."
Daniel Francis
Sounds interesting. I had believed (though likely mistaken) that the Ethiopian coptic Bible contained basically just all the Books found in the wider NRSV Bible plus what we refer to as 1 Enoch. -dan
ukfraser
Dan, it depends on your source and there is a lot of misinformation on the internet but this looks fairly legit (but im still getting to grips with the different orthodox traditions). The canon of the Ethiopic Bible differs both in the Old and New Testament from that of any other churches. List all books. As a whole, books written in the Geez language and on parchment are numerous. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church has 46 books of the Old Testament and 35 books of the New Testament that will bring the total of canonized books of the Bible to 81. https://www.ethiopianorthodox.org/english/canonical/books.html Edited May 28, 2019 by ukfraser

jlm
There may be practical problems with bringing all these books to Accordance: "Some of the books assigned canonical authority have never been printed in Geez, or only printed outside Ethiopia, or are difficult to obtain" (website cited in Wikipedia footnote 2).
