More sample screens

Is it possible that the titles that are for sale have more sample screens?
Maybe it's just me, but the verses displayed are usually not the ones I'm interested in or not all info is shown.
Ideally would be if I could punch in a verse number and the relavant screen shows.
Obviously all within reason, as set out in copyright laws.
Let's say max. verses searches per title per day.

A few years ago when I started using accordance, a helpful individual pointed out that Google Books often had previews available for titles of interest. I now use the general browser to check reviews on Amazon (and even previews if available), Google Books, and the  Best Commentaries website. In fact, it may be best to start at bestcommentaries.com because that site has full publishing information, collated reviews, a link to Google Books, and a link to WorldCat (it is the one that reads "Find at a Library"). To use WorldCat, simply enter you postal location and the system will list libraries having that title and distance from the entered location. I am often able to examine a text at one of the nearby colleges or seminaries to determine how well it fits my interests.

Shalom,

I too have asked for more information about Accordance titles, but to no avail. As Solly suggests, you will have to go elsewhere

I also have the following books about commentaries:

Carson—New Testament commentary survey (7e)

Evans—A guide to biblical commentaries and reference works (10e) (2016)
Longman—Old Testament commentary survey (5e)
Pope—A directory of exegetical aids for Bible translators (2e) (1989)

Thanks for the replies!

Reviews of the titles certainly is a good start but not everything I'm looking for.

For me the layout and links are important too.

I think thats why google (and occasionally kindle) are important as solly pointed out because you can view or download samples. In the case of google, from another thread i was able to look at over 60 pages of the dunn commentary on Colossians. I wouldnt buy from those, but you get a good size sample to make your own mind up.

Accordance formatting can be changed and they do put in a lot of links and meta tagging to help with search (though we will always want more)

But larger samples have been requested before. But i think there are samples in other places (even on publisher sites) if you search so not too concerned.

You can also ask for screenshots here. Very often folks already have the items you're considering and are happy to help. As long as it doesn't violate the copyright terms folks will generally share.

I know, but I buy about 2 items a week and review a multiple of that. That would be far to many requests.

Logos And WORDsearch provide decent previews, I don’t understand why Accordance only provides one screenshot of their products. That has kept me from buying at times.
