TYA
Great day all, Please see these two screenshots and explain why I didn't get vowel-specific results in my search containing the definite article. Oddly enough, when I removed the definite article and replaced it with an asterisk, I then did get vowel-specific results. Why? This was both the case when searching the text itself (not in the Research Tab), as well as in the Research Tab (as my screenshots depict). I do believe I'm formatting the search properly, by putting the "=" sign within the quotation marks, correct? Thank you. David Lang
You need an equals sign before the second word as well as the first. Right now, your search is telling Accordance to pay attention to the pointing of the definite article, but to ignore the pointing of muchah. The second search worked because you had only one word with an equals sign. Note how the second search did not highlight the definite article, even though you tried to account for it with the asterisk. That's because the definite article is treated as a separate word. In short, you need to enter two words, each preceded by an equals sign. Hope this helps.
