Budgeting conundrum in getting Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament, or to put the money on attire for myself: A Formal Ascot neckwear

I was just about to put my cash on my account, when I came to think of that I could hasten getting an Ascot, which is a fancy neckwear, instead of ever getting these two:

These links show the neckwear attire I have been wanting to get:

Tied like proper way, the traditional way in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sew0Nd7Gj1M
But I'd get also a stiff "backpiece" to place under my shirt and equipped with a tiepin of sorts that might not be fastened like the pin in the video, that set of two is sold separately on eBay.
The actual item, the neckwear, is this one: https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/shop/ascot-buff-blue-red-orange-macclesfield-neats-fort-belvedere-1805

I know the option to go for looks is pretty shallow, compared to language studies. However it could bring me an advantage on a first date with a woman who is incredibly intelligent, deep, talented. My suit doesn't look anything like the one worn in the video but is a much brighter colour and is definitely less formal than a morning suit. There are formality level clashes anyway stemming from another attire I've already got, that I wore for the first time to and from Church yesterday Sunday evening.

Which option?

I'm afraid you will need אוּרִים and תֻּמִּים to make the right decision here.

But... if you have no clue what I'm talking about, definitely go with the TDOT :)

In lieu of the Urim and Thummim you could conduct a poll. I would vote that you buy the TDOT.

TDOT- If she is cool, she will value TDOT over clothes :)

I personally have never seen TDOT that low. This is one of the rare sales that happens once every few years or so.
