I want to hover on a foot note and see the passage

I was doing my morning reading and trying to check out the foot notes on some figures of speech used in the text. I tried hovering (which gave me a citation in the info pane but not the verse) and I tried shift click, control click, option click, shift option, click..etc.

What I thought I could do (i was sure it was working this way before) was to just hover my mouse over a footnote and see the actual text that it's pointing to in the info pane. I can't seem to do that.

Am I asking for something that can't be done?

Do you happen to remember the text you were reading? It would help to track down what's going on.

It was today's reading of Ezekiel in the Chronological bible but it's not limited to that..it's all biblical texts.

Are you saying that I SHOULD be able to hover over a footnote and see the passage? Maybe I clicked a preference box somewhere along the way and don't realize it had unintended consequences.

You should be able to hover over a footnote and see the contents of that footnote. Is is a footnote like "a" or "b" or is it a note like "see note on Isa. 53:1"?

Well...hmm.

I just did a full reset of Accordance and nothing changed.

I know it must be some setting. I'll post a screen shot of what I'm doing to make cure I'm clear.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there's a way to display the contents of a footnote to a scripture reference without clicking on the footnote and hovering over the verse in the corresponding notes pane.

Ok...good enough I might be thinking of something else like hovering over a word or something.

There's also the shortcut of holding Control (Command on a Mac) when clicking on the footnote to automatically open its verses as well.
