D. Deer
This morning, I opened Accordance on my Mac and it wouldn't load properly. It kept asking "Where's the folder?" At a loss, I finally uninstalled the program and I have reinstalled it (I did reinstall it initially from the App Store, but after remembering to use the website, I uninstalled that version and downloaded the version from the accordance site), but I'm still getting the "Where's the folder?" before it will load a workspace. I'm not sure where the accordance files folder is supposed to go as a default. It's in my Documents folder currently until I can figure out where it's supposed to go. My library seems intact and my notes will load. Dropbox also syncs for the most part. I can also create new workspaces and they save as a single file in the accordance folder. So, my question is two-fold (for now): where is my workspace folder and where should my accordance files folder call home? Thanks.
Paul Meiklejohn
Generally, you're user files are kept is {Home}/Documents/Accordance Files. It sounds as if you had a corrupted file. Have you tried Accordance 'safe mode', hold option as you start Accordance, and trigger some of the settings options.
D. Deer
Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like the Accordance Files folder was moved to iCloud Drive somehow unbeknownst to me. Not sure how I didn't have a problem until yesterday...maybe because I switch back and forth between a Mac and a Windows laptop and Dropbox had kept things running smooth. Paul Meiklejohn
Yes, of course, whenever you upgrade to a major OS version of register a new Mac, you have the choice to put your documents folder into iCloud. If you're not careful, its very easy just to accept the default settings. That could be the cause of your folder being moved.
