Organizing Topics?!?

This is a really basic question, but I am trying to come up with a simple and effective way to organize ideas or topics in Accordance (specific verses). Seems pretty simple right? What are the different ways to accomplish this?

I used to use Tecarta on my phone so where ever I went if a specific need presented itself, I would just go to my bookmarks folder and I had all the verses I accumulated over the years categorized in separate folders. The problem with Accordance first of all, is the Android app doesn't seem to support user created content which stinks, and the bookmarks in the desktop version don't work the same as I am used to in Tecarta. I was thinking about the "stacks" feature which I guess is somewhat okay, but really just curious what other people are doing.

To give you a specific situation to frame my need:

I started volunteering as a chaplain at my local hospital and have to respond to a variety of different needs. Last night was a real doozy and my mind was blank the entire time. I wish I could have just been able to pop-out my phone and pull up all the verses that I have already categorized for the specific situations (in this case it was the death of a child) and use those verses to frame further conversations.

I am okay sticking with Tecarta, but with all the money I have spend on Accordance I would really love to transition this specific need over. As stated with Tecarta, all verses for specific topics are in folders/sub-folders and I can just simply scroll through these looking for something that is relevant. Perhaps this is a user tool, stack, paper....I don't know, but maybe it doesn't matter if I can't use it in the Android app.

One option would be highlighting different passages in a particular style and then searching for that style. http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/Win12/Default.htm#topics/05_dd/search_highlight_styles.htm?Highlight=highlight%20style

Another might be reference lists - these don't exist on Android (yet ?) http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/Win12/Default.htm#topics/05_dd/reference_lists.htm?Highlight=reference%20list

Stacks would be ok to though User Tools might be better.

Thx

I noticed the [sTYLE] command while messing around with searches on the Android mobile app just last night and now you have showed me what it does. That is an interesting option assuming I can plan all this out exactly how I want my verses to go. I think alot of my verses would fall under different topics, but this is an interesting idea that I can definantly use in some situations. Thank you for the ideas.

I just created a sample reference list, but it doesn't look like something that saves for future use? I use Windows is if that matter.

You can save them. Use File -> Save Tab or Save Current Tab ...  I cannot remember the exact name.

The problem I recall now is that when you reopen them they open in a workspace with that one tab. I have requested that it be possible to load them directly into the ws you are working in at the time but that hasn't happened yet.

Thx

Thanks for the help. This reference tool does seem to be the closest to what I was doing in Tecarta. Can't do it in Android though...sigh.

I either have to start memorizing Scripture (which is what we all should be doing anymore) or just stick with Tecarta for mobile use.

On the mobile app I would say this. It is being actively worked on. When it was born, it was born with high expectations because of the quality of the desktop product and, with a to do list as long as your arm. It's not a simple matter to port an app with the maturity and diverse function of Accordance to a new platform. The same thing happened when the iOS app came out. It has continued to gain features over the years. I am sure the many who use it get a great deal more out of it now than when it was first released. Android is proceeding the same way. I expect to use it more and more as time goes on as it does more and more of what I need.

Also, do post your list of priorities for the Android app https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/forum/98-feature-requests-for-android/- I did. Indications of what you consider most important in the apps (all of them, desktop, iOS, mobile, modules you want and so on) help Oaktree determine what people want to see most in their products, and what they want most urgently.

So for now, Tecarta might be the best for what you need until the Acc app comes up with a way to do the same sort of thing. I know user content and bookmarking are on the list for Android.

Thx
