Michael Hunt
Don't know if it is because I am running Accordance on an older machine MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012) but under 13 there is as significant lag when expanding a library folder. It seems worse when the library is in non pop over mode. I first noticed it as I wonder more than once if I had clicked the triangle to expand because the folder didn't open straight away. Note: I do have a heavily modified folder layout for my library that has been upgraded/rearranged/has multiple dividers etc. since I started customising it with Accordance 10 (if that helps) Similar delay in opening up the library pane from the tool bar shortcut (I have the preference set to popover)
Michael Hunt
I also see big step ups in the library font size when modifying the font size in preferences (i.e. going from medium small to medium doesn't result in an incremental font size change but rather a huge jump). Paul Meiklejohn
Michael, no delay at all on mine, if anything it seems a bit faster. Have you tried Accordance safe mode and clearing some of the settings and cache? I can't see the age of you machine playing a big part if you have the most up-to-date Apple OS. Michael Hunt
Will give that a try.
Michael Hunt
Nope. Checking all four of the cleanup options and removing the saved session made no difference. Suspect it is possibly something in my library setup as I wouldn't normally see this kind of bug getting through to prod. Thanks for the suggestion. I am running the latest version of Catalina
Paul Meiklejohn
I'm sure things will settle over the next few days. I've always found a completely clean install clears all the cobwebs away. I'd wait and see what technical do at their end first.
Michael Hunt
Yeah there is no rush and I am positive it will get resolved.

John Fidel
I concur with the delay... it is not long, but a delay using MBP 2012 with SSD.
Solly
I concur that there is a delay in expanding library folders when in pane mode vs. popover mode. However, I notice a similar delay closing the popover that is not present in other popover library actions. Alistair
The library in version 12 seemed more compact…
dandennison
This is definitely a lot slower than it used to be, and the inter-line spacing is higher.
Michael Hunt
Had a spinning wheel when I clicked on the library pane (very, very, very rare occurrence for me in Accordance) This may or may not be related but I noticed some issues with installed items in Easy Install since 13. Helen Brown
I think the Library cache is updated after you install new items, that could have caused the delay.
Michael Hunt
Ok. I will keep monitoring it but it is the one thing I have consistently noticed since upgrading. I also don't seem to be the only one who has this problem. Happy to speak to tech about it later today when I have some time (or can wait a day or two if needed).
Drew Brown
Big delay over here as well, and I have a newer Mac (MBP early 2015). Library lag, and the most lag I get is using my highlighted Hebrew text. Scrolling has gotten a lot slower with the text and the hover with the keyed texts is also delayed. Already tried cleaning library cache, etc as described above.
Michael Hunt
Just wondering if anyone with this issue is finding items they have purchased are not appearing in Easy Install. If I sort my list by date (nice new 13 feature by the way) it doesn't show any purchases before 2014.I have been a user longer than that and wonder weather if this might be a reason for the library lag. Michael Hunt
Whoopee!!! From the 13.0.1 release notes: (https://www.accordancebible.com/New-Since-13/) * Significant optimizations when Accordance is processing Library changes to improve interaction speed, etc. Thank you. These changes have made a significant difference for me. I also noticed that active highlighting in the library panel (the new 13 feature introduced as a way of showing current focus) is working as expected. To get these updates out in a major release week deserves major kudos.
Battlesman
× I hate to say it, but even in 13.0.2, the Library pane still opens slowly and scrolls slowly. The Info Pane also opens more slowly than v. 12.
Alistair
× I hate to say it, but even in 13.0.2, the Library pane still opens slowly and scrolls slowly. The Info Pane also opens more slowly than v. 12. Have to agree with you. My Accordance runs incredibly slowly, but I wonder if that's because I have anti-malware SW running and I have the HD encrypted with FileVault (Mac OS X). But something as simple as the library folders shouldn't be affected by that?
OSchrock
Hoping this gets resolved. I had noticed that the library scrolled very slowly when in pop-over mode, but I assumed it was just my computer (which usually does not have a problem running heavy operations). Alistair
When I have time I'll reboot in safe mode and disable all extra background processes. Then we'll see.
Marshall A. Fant
I've noticed general over-all slowness, especially compared with v. 12. I was even getting a delay in typing into the search bar. One of the selling points for Accordance has been (and will continue to be) the speed of the program. I really hope we get this addressed in the next update.
