Alistair
I'm hearing "Hello, My naam is Danel, I am a Brillish English voik" in the Preferences>>Speech>>Voice testing. And no, that's not the way we speak in Britain. Not even in Essex. Fiona sounds good. Karen is a bit mangled. Kate is awful. Moira sounds good. Oliver is terrible. Samantha is great. Serena is the worst of them all. Tessa rocks. Veena is good. The voices I have actually downloaded in my system preferences (the four British English voices) sound the worst. The voices all sound like they should in System preferences>>Accessibility>>Speech. Edited November 2, 2019 by Alistair
Alistair
Something is seriously wrong here, listen to Daniel reading Genesis: Sorry cannot upload an MP3. https://cp.sync.com/dl/b3160be40/in6ga4ia-9sk7ap4c-nhta48x4-zdixubiu
Alistair
Bizarre as is sounds, I promise you that is an authentic recording of the Mac OS system voice Daniel reading Genesis in Accordance. All the British English voices are mangling the text.
Alistair
It seems the British English voices cannot see (and do not read) the letters E and T. Or G. Edited November 2, 2019 by Alistair
Fabian
If you go to the Voices in the Preferences from the Mac. Some Voices can be upgraded to a higher quality. Maybe this helps. Perphaps you have done so. Greetings Fabian Edited November 10, 2019 by Fabian

Alistair
Fabian, I even deleted the installed premier voices and re-downloaded them. No other voices are affected to my knowledge, just the British English ones. The voices all work perfectly in other contexts. Seeing how the voices read "FAK OF" twice in Genesis 1:2 I'm surprised there hasn't been an official response. Has anyone been able to replicate this? Silas Marrs
I think I found the problem. I'll see if I can't fix it for the next release. Edited November 11, 2019 by Silas Marrs
