LXX, MT, English OT cross-highlighting!!!

Sorry, but I need to ask, how did you accomplish this? The LXX went in their own direction at times which is different from the MT. How did your team decide how to tag every MT word to the LXX? Did you run into situations where you had to make a judgement call?

The cross highlighting is based on the MT/LXX Parallel.

We have not done any tagging. We use the work of Tov and Polak in what we call the MT-LXX Parallel (or the cheaper Interlinear) which matches the words between Hebrew and Greek. It's not perfect but it does offer pretty accurate results most of the time.

Are you saying that the cross-highlighting will work with the MT-LXX Interlinear Database as well, or only the full MT-LXX Parallel?

The info I found online states that it works with both parallel and interlinear.

Correct. It works with either installed.

But there is a bug. It doesn't work with the ETCBC alone. If you want it with the ETCBC you have to add the HMT-W4 or the BHS-T.

I noticed the same thing when I add the Ralph's LXX...no cross-highlighting until I added the HMT-W4 :(

Chris, this isn't a bug.  The feature is, given the MT-LXX Parallel database, to do HMT LXX cross highlighting.  We also have had a feature since 12.3 of Accordance to do 'recursive' highlighting, which takes one highlight and 'extends' it elsewhere.  So, since LXX knows how to highlight HMT, the HMT can then take that and also highlight the corresponding words in a key number text.  However, this does require the HMT pane to be open to help do the 'translation'.

But why it works then with the BHS without the HMT-W4?

Thanks it works now with the ETCBC.

Please add the Samaritan Pentateuch tagged too. And if there are any other Texts.

Please add the following too:

SAMAR-T

DSSB-C

TARGUMS TAGGED also for Interlinear with other Hebrew Bibles

PESHITTA-OT TAGGED also for Interlinear with other Hebrew Bibles.

If this is possible

It already works with the texts you name, Fabian, except for the Peshitta which has its own lexical forms. You just need to have one of the primary Hebrew texts also open in the tab: HMT-W4, BHS-T, or MT-ETCBC. That's not unreasonable. I cannot imagine that anyone would be using LXX and MT-LXX  with Targums or SAMAR-T or DSSB and not also have a primary Hebrew text.

On the LXX side any of the tagged LXX modules work: Rahlfs, Swede, and Göttingen.

I was thinking, the more flexible the better. So flexible as possible. What normally the goal is from Accordance.
