ptrajewski
Hi! I would like to ask why there is no upgrade option from 2nd edition to 3rd edition of Basics of Biblical Hebrew (Pratico, Van Pelt)? Is it really necessary that I/we should buy once more the same book? Thank you in advance!
Alistair
Well, you wouldn't get an upgrade price for a paper book because you bought the previous edition. Besides, it's probably the copyright holder or publisher who sets the price, not OakTree.
Helen Brown
That is exactly the case, and you do not HAVE to buy the 3rd edition.
ptrajewski
Thank you for such KIND and so exhaustive response. Of course, I do not HAVE to buy - that's why I used "SHOULD", considering that I WOULD like and do not HAVE to have an updated version of this book. I just asked because I saw among different resources that some of them have the upgrade option. If it's the copyright holder's or publisher's thing who sets the prices it ok - I have no other questions. Dear Helen, I just wanted to ask to and not to create a problem... I thought that this forum serves right for this purpose. Dear Alistar, I am aware that there is no possibility of upgrading a paper book; that's why I am asking about the option of upgrading an electronic resource. The Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!
Michael Hunt
Ptrajewski there is nothing wrong with asking these kinds of questions here. Unfortunately sometimes the medium of a forum gets in the way. Publishers and Accordance do allow for upgrade paths from time to but seems to me that is unlikely with the resources you asked about. Helen Brown
We are scrambling to answer all the forum posts, social media questions, and emails that are flooding in despite the fact the we have not made any announcement about version 13. And this is the weekend when we hope our staff are getting some rest and time for worship. This is why my replies are short.
Michael Hunt
Yes the forums have never been busier. P.S. Helen - You and the whole Accordance team are doing a great job.
Fabian
in despite the fact the we have not made any announcement about version 13. Naja, I get every hour a such mysterious Window . Nearly a little bit annoying Greetings Fabian
Helen Brown
You only see that message hourly because you have set the Preferences to check for an update every hour, and if you are running Accordance 12. I have never seen anyone check hourly! Once you run 13 you won't get that message at all.
Fabian
Now you can see how eager I am for new Accordance versions. I also read always the release notes. Oh just right now the invoice from Jimmie is arriving. Now I have to Upgrade. Greetigns Fabian
