When i open a commentary (or any other tool) and want to change it, clicking on its title, i am immediately taken to other similar tools in that particular "folder". This is the operation i would like as standard. When i have a text open and for example, a commentary open in parallel, if i want to change the commentary, clicking on its name takes me the top level tool folder of all tools i can open in parallel rather than in the current tool folder. While i love the structure to get to the different categories of resources, is there a good reason for that it takes me to the top level of structure or can it open in the folder i am currently working in similar to when i just open the resource with the structure below the current resources in that folder? Michael Hunt Posted November 7, 2019 Share Posted November 7, 2019 It's interesting that on Android the primary pane offers both the option to switch the tool/text to another in your library while also offering something that you cant do in ios - the ability to switch the primary pane tool to a selection from your installed texts (and vice-a versa). Another area of inconsistency is that Android uses text as opposed to the icons in ios to signify the texts/tools options I like the second option you have shown in the screenshot to be accessible each time I wish to change tools/texts (or notes in ios). Maybe a fourth icon could be added at the beginning to show the resource I am using and "like" resources that I may wish to switch to (i.e. in your WBC example say to JPS etc.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Which is why i would like the same behaviour when opening in a parallel pane with a text as im already looking at similar ones (wbc and jps, or study bibles). This is more like how the desktop operates when switch resources (resources of similar context followed by other library resources). Agree that this should be consistent across platforms and all places within an implementation as otherwise it detracts from the user experience. A case in point is the listing and location of Easy Install/Content Updates on all platforms. While we expect a degree of differences in mobile and desktop due to their different natures it is nice to have some consistency across all platforms where possible. Yes, on searching for the same word in another lexicon, I would really like to have it open up by default to the folder with the other lexicons for that language.
